Amaya's 6 Month Portraits!

Amaya had her 6 month portraits at JCPenny Portrait Studio on Friday, May 7th--the actual day she turned 6 Months! Enjoy them..we think she did a fabulous job!

Brother and Sister Love

Alex is becoming more and more aware that there is another little person in the house besides himself, and Amaya is becoming more and more aware of the world around her. Thus, we have two little worlds starting to intersect, and it's adorable to watch! Alex plays with his sister now, and she giggles at him and grabs at him. He likes to put his Ninny in her face and laughs hysterically when she grabs it out of his mouth and puts it in hers. He also loves her little feet. He grabs them and makes them dance when she is laying in her swing, and she giggles and thinks it is the funniest thing. He even shares with her, much to our surprise. Everyone told us, just wait, he'll be jealous, he resent her. But we've yet to see that happen. Right now he is nothing but sweet to her and she admires her big brother. You can just tell by looking at her eyes and the way she looks at him. He gives her kisses each night before bed, and will get her a special toy when I ask him to. He goes over to his own toys and picks something for her. He even knows how to sue this to his advantage. The other night, she was chewing on his firetruck tire, so he went and got an Avatar figurine our of his bin and said "Here, baby" before reclaiming his fireturck! It was too cute! We're glad they are at peace for now, because we know as they get older and as possibly more siblings get added to the mix, things may get a little crazy around here!

Amaya's Christening

On Saturday, May 1st, we had Miss Amaya christened at Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Dundalk. She actually shared the day with her cousin Daniel, who celebrated his first communion the very same day. She did an amazing job during the ceremony, and the priest was amazed at her attentiveness and peacefulness. She stared at him while he was talking and remained quiet and sweet throughout the entire event. No crying, or whining, or anything. Amaya is our little peaceful girl. She's always studying and looking at people with this little angelic quality--much quieter and much more content than Alex ever was! To this day, he's wild and independent. After the christening ceremony at the church, we all headed over to Vinny's cafe also in Dundalk, to celebrate the kids' blessed events. We had an excellent Italian meal there and spent some quality time with our family and friends, as we opened presents and sang several renditions of "Happy Baptism, Happy Communion and Happy Birthday" LOL. It was Maria's birthday on May 3rd, so the last still fit in! We want to thank everyone for attending the Christening, and be looking for your thank you cards in the mail! Enjoy some of our pics of the ceremony and the party below! We can't believe our little princess is already 6 months old and that her Christening is over!
