Alex had his very first haircut on Saturday at Cartoon Cuts in White Marsh. I can't believe what a big boy he looks like now! He looks more like a toddler and less like baby. I thought I would be a little sad to see his baby hair go, but surprisingly, I was very glad to see how clean and handsome he looked when it was done. I am also so glad he can finally see again! His bangs were so long, the poor little boy looked like a sheepdog! He has been pretty clingy to me lately, and I had to sit in the barber chair with him, but other than that he did a great job during the cut. The worst part about it was the itchy little hairs we both had all over us when she was done. She gave us a little certificate and a little baggie with some locks of his hair to keep for his baby book. I was surprised that his hair texture is different now that it's been cut. It's much more like Abe's texture, and a little more coarse than mine. Regardless, he looks so handsome and like such a big boy now! I just can't believe he'll be 1 year old in two weeks! Enjoy some of the before/after shots of Alex's hair.

Daddy Daycare today...
Alex wasn't feeling too well yesterday, and Ashley had to pick him up from daycare a little early yesterday. This morning he was still having a little diarrhea and has already went through a set of clothes. So today, we decided that he should stay home and not spread the bug (if that is what he has) to anyone else at daycare...enter Daddy Daycare!
Aside from his morning bottle, Alex has already had a bowl of oatmeal and is now eating some Cherios and juice...all while watching Dora and Diago. I must say, that "Backpack" song is pretty catchy...
ANYWAYS, I was in the kitchen washing dishes, and as usual, Alex decided to join me. Well, 2 minutes into washing dishes I hear some banging against the wall. I turn around, and low-and-behold, Alex has decided that he didn't like where his high chair was and wanted to move it! Here is a picture of the culprit in action, and as you can see, Lexie looks disturbed as well as confused
[caption id="attachment_582" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Crazyness in the kitchen"][/caption]
Ok time to go. Lexis is rubbing her teeth against my fingers as I type (totally nasty) and Alex has turned over his plate and is clapping...so that usually means he wants more!
Peace ya'll...Paalam!

Valentine's Weekend and Other Adventures
Hopefully everyone had a great Valentine's Day and President's Day! We were busy over this long weekend, but had a great time. Saturday we went to our nephew Daniel's soccer game in the afternoon, then hung out with Abe's mom at our house until travelling to his brother Dylan's game in the evening. We picked up some 5 dollar footlongs and Abe's Mom brought over chocolate dip and strawberries for dessert. It was so good! Alex even got his first taste of chocolate later that night, and begged for more! LOL. He llokedso confused when we gave it to him, like "something this amazing exists?" Game report: Daniel's team won by a lot, but unfortunately Dylan's team didn't. Sunday we did a Jillian Michael's workout in the morning. Both of us! A friend at work was telling me about a workout on Comcast on- demand that was really good, so Abe and I tried it out. Man--it kicked our butts. I'm still pretty sore from it! We went to Target in the morning, while Abe got his hair cut, then cleane our messy closet downstairs. Only one more closet, and we will have them all done! Yay! Then, today we sent Alex to daycare and celebrated Valentine's Day and our birthdays by going down to the harbor and eating at an awesome place called Fogo de Chao. It's a Brazilian Steakhouse, and the food was amazing! I have never tasted steak like that before. You flip a card to red if you don't want them to bring steak and green if you want more steak. It was really cool. Then, we walked around the harbor and did some shopping before we returned home and picked up our boy! Nowwe're just relaxing around the house and dreading work tomorrow. Enjoy thepictures below, and one last look at Alex's rockstar hair. We're probably getting it cut for the first time next Saturday. :(

As soon as I get the exercise mat out, Alex rolls around on it! LOL.

More Birthday Fun!
Birthday madness was still in full effect this weekend, as we celebrated Matthew's 3rd birthday at Rolly Pollies in Severna Park on Saturday, and celebrated Abe, Dylan and Matthew's birthdays at Abe's mom's in Dundalk on Sunday. Matthew's party was an absolute blast and there were little kids runnig everywhere! Rolly Pollies did a really nice job of keeping the kids busy the whole time, and even Alex found plenty to do. He jumped bounced on the trampoline, played on all of the different rubber mats, and had fun on the moonbounce slide with his Uncle Dave. He also crawled around, especially toward the door! LOL. He's always fascinated by the door. I think he likes the bright light. He' still not walking, but he's only 11 months, so there's no worries. He'll walk when he's ready to. On Sunday, we spent our usualy sunday morning and afternoon at Abe's Mom's. We feasted on Abe's selection of onion rings, mozzarella sticks, steak-ums, and chips! At least Ms.Medy made a salad t balance all the oil out! LOL. Abe ate his pineapple upside down cake, and got lots of cards, money, and some points for his Xbox live account. We came home Sunday night and put together his glass case downstairs to keep all of his painted models in. They look really nice, and best of all there's not so many of them on my island in my kitchen! Alex is now clapping and waving. He loves to feed himself and even has a little attitude sometimes if we try to feed him. There's less than a month now until his first birthday. I am sending out invitations this week for his party, which will be March 7th at our house. Keep looking in the mailbox!

Maligayang Bati (Happy Birthday) Abe and Daddy!
Yesterday we celebrated Abe's 27th birthday! Maligayang Bati means "Happy Birthday" in Tagolog, and we're both trying to learn some, so we can teach Alex. The day didn't get off to a great start. We spent a few hours the night before at an emergency care place with Alex. He felt really warm Monday night, so I took his temperature, and it was 103.8! So we called his pediatrician, and she told us to take him in and have him checked just in case. They did a strep test, flu test and took a chest x-ray just to make sure, and found nothing wrong except for a red throat and swollen tonsils. So, they said he has tonsillitis and told us to give him tylenol for the fever and keep him home two days. He seems to be feeling a lot better today, despite the fact that he isn't sleeping too well these days. That's been quite a shock for us, since he slept so well from 2-9 months. 10 months has been difficult in the sleep department! I can't believe he'll be 11 months old tomorrow! So, anyway back to Abe's b-day---Abe stayed with him yesterday and when I came home form work, I brought an oreo pie with candles and we (well I) sang to him. Then he opened his gifts from Alex and I. I got him a remote control helicopter (that's what he wanted!) and a new spring jacket. Alex got him a bag of chocolates. Then, we went to Chick-Fil-A for dinner! It was Abe's choice. We also called to wish our nephew, Matthew, a happy 3rd birthday as he celebrates his the same day as Abe. So all in all I think he had a nice 27th birthday. Some pictures from our visit home this weekend and the last few days follow. Enjoy!
