Alex is very fortunate to have two sides of loving families, but unfortunately my side of the family resides about 200 miles away. So he always gets 2 birthday parties! One here in Baltimore, and one back at home in far Western MD. This year we celebrated his other birthday party on Saturday,March 12th at my Mom and Dad's house and kept it very small. It was just his Pappy, Nana, Uncle Brandon, Great-Grandpap Hambone and Great-Grandma Glenrose. We invited some other cousins and such, but they were not able to come. My Mom got a delicious ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, knowing that ice cream cake has always been my fav and my own bday gets a little overshadowed in all of this :) We had a few Cars decorations, sang a birthday song and Alex got some much needed cash from his Great-Grandparents, a lot of spring clothes and a keyboard from his Grandparents and a cool Road Ripper Car from his Uncle Brandon! Most of the rest of the day we all sat around, talked and enojoyed watching the kids play. It was a really nice day with beautiful spring weather and a couple birthdays to celebrate! Now the Arceos don't have another birthday to plan until early November..phew!
