Day Out with Thomas!

B & O Railroad Museum hosted a really cool event his weekend called a Day Out With Thomas. Since Thomas' #1 fan happens to live in our house, we decided to check it out today. We purchsed a ticket back around Alex's birthday, and this ticket bought us the entrance to the festivities and one train ride on a real Thomas the tank engine! Alex was beyind excited. As we got out of the car he saw the train going past and started shaking from excitement screaming, "Mommy, choo choo, choo, choo!!" He proceeded to say "Choo, choo" the entire way walking up to the entrance gate. He was probably one of the only kids in there actually more ineterested in the musuem exhibits instead of the little play stations and photo ops along the way. He studied the wheels, the metal, the engines and was so ineterested! Everyone who has a 2 year old knows how often their focus jums around, and I was amazed at the complete focus Alex had for the engines and rail cars themselves. Of course he still played a little at the block building station and train garden, but he was amazed by the old models of trains. He kept running his little hands along the steel wheels going, "wow, Mommy!" It was the cutest thing. Of course he also loved the train ride! He stared out of the window the whole time, and even pointed out the lovely trash piles and police cars we saw along our lovely scenic tour of downtown Baltimore. He saw a huge heap of trash and said. "Eww. Trash!" LOL. Amaya had a nice time to just hanging out in her stroller and enjoying the ride. I have some pictures of a very excited boy, who was too excited to smile for any of them. Enjoy!

Staring at the old trains

When we came home, it was too rainy outside to ride his bike, so we let him ride in the kitchen!
